Set up SSO with Okta
In order to enable SSO with Ren, Okta Workforce Administrators need to create a new app in their Okta environment and provide the required information to Ren to set up the connection.
The admin will create a new OIDC app integration with these details:
- Application Type = Web
- Redirect URL: https://auth.rensystems.com/login/callback
- Sign-on method: OpenID Connect (OIDC)
Ren will need the following information from the admin:
- Okta Domain (similar to xyz.okta.com)
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- Domain(s) for which SSO should be enforced
Steps to set up SSO in Okta Workforce
- Setup a new app with in Okta Workforce (see Okta’s instructions) with the following details:
- Application Type: Web
- Redirect URL: https://auth.rensystems.com/login/callback
- Sign-on method: OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- Find and make note of your Okta Domain: https://developer.okta.com/docs/guides/find-your-domain/main/
- Find and make note of your Client ID and Client Secret: https://developer.okta.com/docs/guides/find-your-app-credentials/main/
- Send the noted values to your contact at Ren (or to support@rensystems.com). The team will implement the SSO connection and reply to schedule a test of the connection.
